When our children were in their early years at primary school, their teacher had her  beautiful chocolate Labrador, Cleo, in class each day. Cleo loved it and she was loved  and adored by all of the children, who read to her and snuggled in. Recently, I was at another school, where there were two extremely well behaved dogs in each of the grade three classrooms. The benefits for both the children and the dog are worth considering. Check out the article from Edutopia about a school that actually has a therapy dog.
